As per TheCraziefather's request I am posting this for him.
Hey guys, you know it's EXTREMELY friggin rare for me to get someone to post for me...so there must be something important going on, right? RIGHT!
Well, tonight--clear out your Friday. Make sure you're off work. No movie. No dinner (well, only if you eat at like 6 or so and can get out in time to get over there). No bowling (unless it's afterwards). And hardest but most definitely not least--NO WAL MART!!!
Tonight, you're going to Appalachia. You heard me! Appalachia. You're going to Railroad Days at about 7:30, 7:45 to get a good seat or standing spot in front of the stage. You're going to be prepared to hear some hard rock/southern metal from one of SW VA's very own, Doug Gibson. Doug, as some of you may or may not know, is the lead singer for a hard rock/southern metal band from Richmond named BULLISTIC. They've had an album out since August of 2005 (which is excellent I might add), and are rumored to be working on another...plus Doug has some side projects that he's working on with another band and also a solo project in the works. BULLISTIC sounds a lot like Black Label Society--for those of you who don't know who that is--it's headed by Zakk Wylde who used to play lead guitar for Ozzy Osbourne's band post-Black Sabbath--and I know you know who Ozzy is. Really all you need to know is that BULLISTIC rocks and you should be there to hear it.
I don't care if rock's not your thing, or if you have sensitive ears that can't stand metal/hard rock. Don't whine about that--Doug is the goods. He's highly talented, and this is an opportunity for everyone to come out and see him do his thing with his fellow band mates. One of these days, with or without this band, Doug is going to make it big--if you don't go see him in Appalachia tonight--you're missing out on something HUGE. So come, and bear witness to a rock concert you'll never forget. These fellas might play loud enough to shake down some of the old rickety buildings in Appy that they need torn down anyways.
I'll be there saving a spot for you. Let's pack Appy and rock it like it's never been done before--show all these bluegrassers that are usually there @RR Days year-in/year-out how it's supposed to be done.
